Artist Statement
My work is heavily influenced by my surroundings and the people in my life. My main goal is to create work that captures the beauty and uniqueness of individuals within larger narratives. In today’s polarized world, people are often grouped into larger movements or societal identities. Through my art, I want to help shift the focus back to individuals and their distinctive traits and contributions. By turning the focus back to the person, I believe that art can build connections and challenge assumptions.
